What types of fabrics do you use for activewear?

We build activewear from performance synthetics - polyester, nylon and elastane - and from recycled options like RPET and recycled nylon. The right fabric is chosen per garment rather than applied uniformly, because a compression legging and a relaxed yoga top need completely different handfeel, stretch and recovery. Our library holds 200+ materials, so most requests are filled from stock rather than developed from scratch.

Performance synthetics

• Polyester - the workhorse for moisture-wicking tops and outer layers, durable and colour-stable through repeated wash.
• Nylon - high abrasion resistance for leggings and shorts, with a smooth, premium surface.
• Spandex / elastane - 4-way stretch and recovery, blended in at 10-25% depending on the support level needed.
• Mesh and jacquard knits - breathable panels for high-heat zones and textured finishes for branding.
• French terry and fleece - brushed interiors for hoodies and loungewear where softness matters more than sweat transport.

Sustainable and recycled options

Every synthetic above has a recycled counterpart we can substitute without redesigning the garment. RPET (recycled polyester) and recycled nylon come from post-consumer and post-industrial waste, and we hold GRS-certified supply for brands that need traceable claims. Organic cotton and bio-based fibres are available for lower-intensity styles. Because we run GRS and OEKO-TEX certified production, a recycled claim on your label can be backed with mill documentation rather than a marketing line.

How the fabric gets chosen

You can specify the exact composition in your tech pack, or we propose it from the garment's purpose: support level, climate, wash cycle and price point. A high-intensity training set gets a lightweight wicking knit; a maternity or recovery line gets a softer, higher-stretch blend. Once a fabric is confirmed at sampling it is locked into your production file by name and lot, so a reorder six months later uses the same cloth, not an approximation.
