High-Neck Racer Crop
The crop comes up to the base of the neck and rakes in at the back, so the bust is covered without an underband doing the work. On a curve-fit set this is the shape that stops the crop from sitting on the fullest part of the chest, which is where a low-neck crop on this size range starts to gape.
Centred Logo Position at the Back Waistband
The shot of the back waistband is where a woven logo is placed on this set. It is centred rather than offset, and set into the band above the yoke seam, so the mark sits on a flat surface instead of over a curve. Buyers ask for this placement once and then specify it on every piece.
Yoke Across the Seat
A contoured yoke runs across the seat and up into the waistband, which is what holds the band in place on a fuller figure. Without it a plain-rise band rolls forward when the wearer bends, and that single failure is the most common reason a curve-fit legging comes back.

The front band is deep and unseamed, so it sits over the abdomen rather than cutting into it. Depth here is set from the largest size of your run and carried back through the grading, because a band that is deep enough at the top size is generous at the smallest one, and the reverse is not true.

Should the block be graded from the largest size or the middle?
From the largest, on any set that runs into extended sizes. Graded from the middle up, the seat yoke and the band depth are set by a body most of your customers do not have, and the top of the run ends up with a band that rolls and a yoke that sits too low. Grading from the largest costs one extra pattern pass at the start, and it is the reason the whole run fits. We sew your largest and smallest size side by side on the sample so you can see both ends before the bulk cut.
Does the back logo patch have to be centred?
It does not have to be, but centred is the placement that sits flat. Placed off-centre on a curved band, the patch follows the curve of the body and lifts at one edge; centred, it sits on the flattest part of the band above the yoke seam. We set it into the band rather than on the face, so the stitching passes through the seam and the mark holds through washing. If your brand guideline fixes an off-centre position, send it and we will tell you how it behaves before you commit.
Will the high neck hold its shape in a heavier knit?
It will, and on this size range a slightly heavier knit helps, because the neck has more body to stand against. The risk is the opposite one: in a light knit the neck collapses after a wash on a full bust, because the fabric has nothing to lean on. We cut the neck band from the same roll as the body and interface it lightly, and if you want to run this style in a lighter knit we would sample the neck first before cutting the run.
